Fantastic I have my new date for my hip replacement 12th May so not long. My new boots from surgical appliances are helping a lot
but will not pass the fashion police. I am a bit scared because I had a call from GP and I have to go and have another blood test done as something not right with the last one. I hope that this does not end up in a cancellation. Will let you know next friday. But I do know that I have not been feeling well lately so perhaps this is why.

Good luck with that blood test ... hope the results won't cause the hip op to be cancelled. It could be something as simple as a faulty set of pathology results from your last test rather than something wrong. When do you go? This Friday or next?

Hi Mel,

I so hope the bloods are okay- bloods fluctuate so much and so often, hopefully it will be something minor.

Much love,

Amanda

Hi Mel

Glad to hear you have a date for your op. It may be something minor that your GP needs to see you about.

Glad that you have got a date for your operation Mel. At least if there is a problem with your bloods there is time to sort it out before May.

Crossing fingers for you.

ps. the shoes/boots are horrendous! As if we don't feel bad enough without having to wear them! We could do with a designer to take a look at what they produce!

Hi Mel

Good news about the hip op (sad state of affairs when we come to think of any op as 'good news' RollEyes ), but you know what I mean! The blood test result could be a minor thing easily remedied or as Joanna says faulty path lab results. Hope they are able to sort things quickly so it doesn't affect your op. Let us know how you go on.

Eleanor is spot on with the footwear thing. Why do we have to put up with such poorly fashioned shoes? I'm sure people would feel more inclined to wear them if they were even just slightly more 'with it'! Perhaps some ambitious soul might like to follow up or better still we could set up our own design team?? ThumpUp

Hope everything turns out OK regarding the blood tests.

I don't know if you caught it on TV last week but Wayne Sleep just had a new hip. Twelve weeks down the line from it he is rehearsing for a dance show.

So, not surgical boots.............but dancing shoes would be more appropriate!!!!!!!

Good Luck with op and keep up to date with it all.

Love Paula x x x
